Manager’s Monthly Report

Ron Fussell our operations manager has presented this report of the operations and project updates for October 2015.
The crew responded to 18 service calls in October, eight were markings and the others were turn offs, turn on calls, inspect customer shut off valves and meter re-reads. There were 6 private leaks identified by AMR, and 1 service line leak repaired by Juan while Ron picked up trash. All of the private leaks have been repaired or turned off. Shelbie had 6 stock transfers in October. Juan is repairing several of the street signs.

During the month of October we purchased 1,189,400 gallons of water from CLAWA and our wells produced 313,200 gallons. During the month of September we purchased 1,135,600 gallons of water from CLAWA and our wells produced 550,475 gallons.

The total precipitation for the month of October was 2.76”.

Employment Update – As of Thursday October 15, 2015 Wayne Lebrun has resigned his position with AVMSC, and the AVMSC Board is in the process of reviewing the employment applications for our open position and we will be hiring one or two people.
Additionally, the AVMSC Board has reclassified Shelbie Brooks to full-time status as the Office Manager.

Yard Expansion Update – The survey of lots 1333, 1773, 1774, and 1770 was completed by RWM and Associates. We will be looking into our options now that we know our property boundaries.

Treatment Plant Structure Update – The AVMSC Board approved the bid for construction of the Treatment Plant Structure in the AVMSC yard.

Recycling Program Update – Ron says that the recycling program has been very successful and Ron would like to thank the community for their cooperation. The recycling program is for glass, plastic, aluminum and tin cans and cardboard which must be broken down. Please refer to the website for further details. Ron hopes to expand this recycling program in the future.

Ron also encouraged shareholders, residents and visitors to continue to observe the water conservation requirements and tips provided by the office. A recycling bin is available in the AVMSC yard. Call the office for details.

Ron has commended both the staff and the residents for their diligent efforts toward water conservation which has exceeded the Governor’s 25% reduction rate. He would like to encourage our shareholders, renters and visitors to continue in their conservation efforts. In the coming months Ron and the staff will offer the residents new opportunities for further water conservation.
