Sources of water in the area are always limited; accordingly excessive uses of water supplied by AVMSC such as washing down pavement, driveways, sidewalks and decks are prohibited.
AVMSC water meters record water use in terms of cubic feet. One cubic foot of water is equal to 7.48 gallons. Consumption is based on how many gallons each customer uses. AVMSC customers are allowed 200 gallons per day/per structure with an active water share. In a normal 30 day billing cycle that is equal to 6,000 gallons. Anything over this amount is considered an “overage”, and is subject to additional fees.
To determine your water use, your last reading is subtracted from your current reading to find out how many gallons of water you have used in the billing period.
The most common cause of a small leak is a toilet. You may also place a few drops of food coloring in the toilet tank. If any color appears in the bowl, the toilet is leaking.
